Reflections.....

I hope today finds you reflecting on the joy of this Christmas season. We have reminded ourselves and our children to celebrate Christmas everyday, not just on December 25th. God sent us Jesus on this special day knowing that he would live a flawless life on this earth and die a nasty death on the cross for us. It is comforting to know that we all win in the end because Jesus rose from the depths of the tomb!

We enjoyed spending time this Christmas season with friends and family. One of the boys favorite traditions is spending the night with their cousins at papa and nana's house. I love to hear them sing Happy Birthday to Jesus and blow out birthday candles!

Christmas Eve celebrations began with Candlelight service at our church. This is another tradition our family looks forward to each year. This is such a sweet reminder to our family of the reason we celebrate Christmas.

Then, of course it is early to bed in anticipation of the arrival of Santa. I must say, Jacob was the most excited this year. When he realized at 5:00 am that Santa had already delivered gifts, he ran through the house screaming, "Santa came, Santa came!" Priceless!!

To our surprise, by the end of the day on Christmas, we had snow on the ground. It was so exciting to have a white Christmas in Alabama! We had two fun days of playing in the snow and celebrating Christmas. The pureness of the snow was a reminder for me of the pureness of Jesus. Merry Christmas!
